You can dress one of these styles up or be casual, just as they will go with any footwear and outfit. Runners, heels, shorts or dresses they bring out the best in everything.

The fringes range from a few inches long to medium length and then very long. You can find one that is plain, or decorated with printed fabric or embellished with decor like rivets, studs, beads or embroidery. There can be very few fringes attached or many Small blue fringed purse with chain strapsurrounding or covering the whole bag. They can be on the border or edge as hanging threads, cords or strips. From thin to thick with beads strung on them all the way, or just a few added for decor. They are free flowing and can be formed  in groups or spaced out.

Fringed purses and handbags are found in many shapes and styles, from a purse with short handles, a long strap crossbody style or a larger handbag. They can be rounded, square, oblong and any other shape imagined. The camouflage pattern is much desired by many, and can be dressed up or down, matching anything with the neutral colors. The bucket style below has a short handle with a long detachable strap. It is roomy inside and will make any outfit stand out.

These bags are eye catching, relaxed, fun and are for all ages young or old. This Native American fringe was huge during the Hippie movement in the late 1960’s, and by the end of the mid 1970’s the fringe was out of style. As time went on this style returned and has since stayed. They have evolved with the various styles, colors and sized to suit every need.

Several designers continue to lead the way creating the fringe bag, and you will see them in every major store. There are prices and styles to match every budget. They are quite visual without much description needed. There is no specific season for using them, they are in demand and sold all year round.

    Hey great article about Fringed Handbags. I love them and they remind me so much about the image of being carefree and being a hippie.

    Although you don’t have to be a hippy anymore to enjoy them as they seem to always be in fashion like you mentioned in your article.

    You’ve inspired me to go and check some out now that Christmas is coming up as I think they would make great gifts too.

    I absolutely LOVE fringed purses…especially the first one you have pictured. I am really interested in the first brown one. It is perfect! It is funny that they were popular during the hippy movement. I have friends of my ask me if I was a hippy! I am not old enough for that for one thing, but I do love the style!

    Hello Patsy, thanks for the interesting blog. These fringe purses looks very nice, and it would be something nice for my future wife. I checked out Baginc and the prices are affordable, they also have free shipping on orders over $99.00 and you can’t beat that. Is there any other website I can check out that sells fringed purses?? I plan to buy some for my grandmother for her upcoming birthday.

      You are welcome. They are all very nice with a variety of styles, the ones I have in my article are just a handful of what BAGINC has to offer. The first image is from the second banner OASAP. 

      These are the two merchants I use, BAGINC has the largest selection with every style out there and this is why I chose them. They have hundreds to choose from. I haven’t checked other websites in a long time, I’m happy with these, but you can if you want to look further.
