Welcome To Women’s and Men’s Bags

Finding the right women’s or men’s bags can be quite the challenge with all the different styles available. I am hoping to enlighten you on the different bags out there so you can make a more informed decision, and hopefully point you in the proper direction to make your online shopping experience a little bit more enjoyable. My main goal is to inform you about bags available for both genders including unisex bags that both can use.

Men’s Bags

I added a men’s line since bags are not just for women. There are more styles coming out all the time for work, everyday uses and even diaper bags for hands on, or single Dads. In the 70’s, there were bags available for men but that faded and eventually made a comeback decades later. They have always been accepted in other countries around the world.

There is a huge market for them including styles like sling bags, messenger bags, crossbody and more. With so many things to carry now, using pockets doesn’t work anymore. They have become accepted and are seen everywhere.

Below is a men’s brown satchel bag, and a women’s coordinating brown and dark grey purse. I found these at a shoe store separate from each other. I brought them together to take this picture. They match perfectly, it’s not often I see men’s bags in shoe stores.

Of course finding the right bag is just the beginning. I have helpful, quality information for my articles, guiding you to make a decision for your specific needs.

I will be leaving you with specific banners to click on for fast and easy shopping, both for women and men, leading you to pages to choose from so you don’t have to spend your time searching. With decisions like fabric, size, color, pockets, uses, etc. it can all be overwhelming. I hope you return often, to see what new information I find for you!

Click on Women’s Purses and Handbags for more information about them, to read and shop for men’s click on Men’s Bags and Accessories. The option to shop for both are at the bottom of the two pages, and to the right on my sidebar where I have several merchants listed.

    Hi Patsy,

It’s great that you added a men’s line of handbags.

Previously, the general belief was that handbags were meant only for women. But men DO carry a lot of stuff around and a bag is a much preferable alternative to over-stuffed pockets. However, like women, men have to make sure they choose the right handbag so it doesn’t clash with the rest of their look. I’ve seen a male colleague wearing a black suit with a fluorescent green JanSport over his shoulder. What a fashion disaster!

If there’s anything I like to see my husband carry along when we’re out together, it’s his computer backpack (which is black, by the way) or his messenger bag (dark brown in color). I know there’re other great choices for men, but I wouldn’t know what to look out for. I hope to return soon to see what you have to recommend for men too.

      Hi Princila,

I added the men’s line not long after I created my website, knowing how big of a market it is. They need them just as much as we do. With both women and men equally, I find the preference to match is more common than not.

I have other articles with more helpful information for men alone. I will leave you with main page ‘Men’s Bags and Accessories’ link here, where you will get more information and the option to shop. The option to shop is also closer to the bottom of this article. There, you can browse at hundreds of men’s bags.

Thank you for stopping by again, you had visited a few months ago when I only had the women’s line. I hope to see you back again soon.

    Oh Patsy, bags!

I’ve not bought myself a nice bag for years! So of course I looked at the array of bags you offer, and I like them all, including the bags for men! In fact, I was more drawn to the man bags – they’re fab!

Gotta love the novelty ladies’ bags too – wow, spoilt for choice, hahaha!

Though having said that, I’m currently still at a stage where the bulk of what I carry is for children, but in a year or so, I’ll be able to buy for me, and I’m very much looking forward to that event.

You’ve made me excited about bags, thanks for that!

Hi Jacquie, thank you for stopping by.

I enjoyed reading your comment, it does show how excited you are. The bags for men are great, there are so many options to choose from. The women’s novelty bags are in style again this year and will continue because of how unique they are.

There are times when we have priorities, and family always comes first. When the time is right for you, it would be great to have you visit again!

This resonates with me. If I want to buy a bag, I spend hours doing research so definitely your site will make life easy for me.

I also read loads of reviews. Sometimes, it may take me up to a month to decide on what kind of bag to buy!

The reason why I started doing research was because there was a time I bought a bag, a very cute bag but the problem with the bag was that it was always falling off my shoulders. I did not return the bag because it had so many compartments and I could find stuff easily.

I will visit your blog often and I have also bookmarked this page.

    Thank you.

Hi Bea, thank you for your comment. It can take a while to get the bag we need, and many don’t understand that. We learn from previous ones that we have had , just as you did with your cute one where you kept it for the compartments. Sometimes we can’t go by style but for the function which makes more sense.

I’m happy to have been of help, and thank you for wanting to return to my page. I have a lot more information in other areas on my website that would be of help also.

You are right about the multitude of choices in handbags which can be overwhelming. It’s also true that more and more men are carrying bags. I believe they’re called “murses”, at least that’s what my husband calls his when he’s looking for it. I prefer a large tote for daily use and switch to smaller bags for evening or a more formal occasion. The problem with large totes is that it is hard to find the items inside. Do you happen to know of any good tote organizers that can be placed inside a very large tote?

Hi Lynn, thank you for the comment. I do have a Men’s bags and accessories page on my website and yes they are called murses. You can shop there as well along with my Women’s purses and handbags page where I have a write up on compartments. Some large totes have pockets and sleeves inside. You can also purchase them from stores who carry some, or online that you just place inside. For myself, I use a couple of makeup bags to separate some of the items which works just as good. I hope this helps, and thanks again!
